Abstract:
Provided in the present invention are a communication method and a communication apparatus. The method comprises: a preset network coding (NC) layer in a terminal device receiving a first request message from the previous layer of the NC layer, wherein the first request message is used for requesting the establishment of an NC entity; and the NC layer of the terminal device establishing a target NC entity on the basis of the first request message. The method provided in the embodiments of the present application can achieve an NC function in a communication system.
