Abstract:
The present application provides a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a terminal device receiving a conditional handover (CHO) configuration from a network device to which a serving cell belongs, the CHO configuration comprising trigger conditions corresponding to M candidate cells, the trigger conditions comprising: multiple time trigger conditions, and/or multiple distance trigger conditions, M being an integer greater than or equal to 1; and a trigger condition corresponding to a first candidate cell in the M candidate cells is satisfied, the terminal device hands over from the serving cell to the first candidate cell, such that the overhead of handover signaling can be reduced.
