Abstract:
The present application discloses a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: an access management entity receives a first connection request message, the first connection request message being used to request to establish a connection between an access network device and a mobility management entity; and sends a second connection request message to the mobility management entity, the second connection request message being used to request to establish a connection with the mobility management entity, and the mobility management entity being determined according to user access information included in the first connection request message; the access management entity receives a second connection response message, the second connection response message being used to indicate connection information between the access management entity and the mobility management entity; and the access management entity sends a first connection response message to the access network device, the first connection response message being used to indicate connection information between the access network device and the access management entity. The present method is beneficial for meeting the requirements of independent establishment, independent control, and independent evolution for access management and mobility management.
