Abstract:
The present application relates to the field of communications, and provides a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: obtaining a first operating state of a stack link between a first switch and a second switch, wherein the second switch is a switch which is located in the same stack system as the first switch; and sending first information to the second switch by means of a service link between the first switch and the second switch, wherein the first information is used for indicating the first operating state. The present application is applied to switches, and enables each switch in the stack system to quickly detect the operating state of the stack link between the switch and other switches.
