Abstract:
A communication method and apparatus, which can be applied to an integrated sensing and communication system. The method comprises: a network device sending first information to a terminal device, and correspondingly, the terminal device receiving the first information from the network device, wherein the first information indicates a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for a first signal, the MCS for the first signal belonging to a first MCS set, and the amplitude of a modulation symbol, which corresponds to an MCS in the first MCS set, being constant; and the network device sending the first signal according to the MCS for the first signal, and correspondingly, the terminal device receiving the first signal according to the MCS for the first signal; or the terminal device sending the first signal according to the MCS for the first signal, and correspondingly, the network device receiving the first signal according to the MCS for the first signal. On the basis of the solution, when a first MCS set is used in an integrated sensing and communication system, the sensing performance can be improved while increasing the utilization rate of communication resources and ensuring the communication performance.
