Abstract:
A communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a terminal device determines the time of measuring each of Q PRS frequency layers by using a mode 2; and the terminal device determines second measurement time according to a maximum value of the time of measuring each of the Q PRS frequency layers, wherein Q is a positive integer. According to the method, the terminal device can determine the second measurement time according to the maximum value of the time of measuring each of the Q PRS frequency layers, such that the total measurement time, which is determined by the terminal device, of measuring the Q PRS frequency layers by using a mode 2 can be reduced.
