Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a first cell sending a first SSB, the first SSB being an SSB for initial access; and the first cell also sending a second SSB, the second SSB being an SSB for cell handover or cell reselection. By means of the method, a first cell can separately send a first SSB for initial access and a second SSB for cell handover or cell reselection. In this way, when it is necessary for a terminal device to access a first cell, the first cell can send a first SSB, and when it is necessary for the terminal device to be handed over or reselected to the first cell, the first cell can send a second SSB, such that the SSB can be sent as required, the overhead of sending the SSB is reduced, and the SSB measurement efficiency of the terminal device is improved.
