Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a communication method, a device, and a system. The method comprises: when a USB interface of a functional plugin is connected to a USB interface of an unmanned aerial vehicle, the functional plugin transmits a registration request to the unmanned aerial vehicle, the registration request being used for requesting the registration of the functional plugin to the unmanned aerial vehicle, the registration request comprising: registration information of the functional plugin, and the registration information comprising a registration key; when the unmanned aerial vehicle determines, on the basis of the registration key of the functional plugin, that the functional plugin is a device capable of communicating with the unmanned aerial vehicle, the unmanned aerial vehicle saves the registration information and transmits a registration response to the functional plugin, the registration response being used for confirming successful registration; and then, the functional plugin and the unmanned aerial vehicle communicate via the USB interfaces. The present embodiments complete, on the basis of the registration key of the functional plugin, the process of registering the functional plugin to the unmanned aerial vehicle, thus implementing communication via the USB interfaces.
