Abstract:
A communication method in a wireless-powered heterogeneous network environment comprises the steps of: receiving an RF signal that an AP transmits in a downlink and checking whether first energy collected using the RF signal has a value greater than or equal to a first threshold, by a communication device; checking, by the communication device, whether an unmodulated carrier is received from a transmitter; when the unmodulated carrier is received, checking, by the communication device, whether second energy collected using the unmodulated carrier has a value greater than or equal to a second threshold; when the second energy has a value greater than or equal to the second threshold, delivering, by the communication device, information to the AP through a bistatic backscatter communication technique; and when the second energy has a value less than the second threshold, delivering, by the communication device, information to the AP through an ambient backscatter communication technique.
