Abstract:
Disclosed are a communication method and a related apparatus, which are used for the positioning of a terminal device by a positioning device. The method comprises: a first access network device sending a UE context acquisition request message to a source access network device; the first access network device receiving a UE context acquisition response message from the source access network device, wherein the UE context acquisition response message comprises reference information for configuring a sounding reference signal (SRS) of a terminal device, and/or information for instructing the configuration of the SRS for the terminal device, and the terminal device is in an inactive state; the first access network device determining SRS configuration information of the terminal device according to the reference information and/or the information for instructing the configuration of the SRS for the terminal device; and the first access network device sending the SRS configuration information to the terminal device.
