Abstract:
Provided are a communication method and a related device, for use in increasing the transmission reliability of downlink control information, and specifically relating to a reduced capability (REDCAP) terminal device. Comprising: a network device transmits first information to a terminal device, the first information indicating whether first downlink control information (DCI) comprises a downlink assignment index (DAI) or comprises no DAI (401), the first DCI being used for scheduling an uplink transmission, and the format of the first DCI being a first format; and, the network device generates and transmits the first DCI to the terminal device (402). By indicating to the terminal device whether the downlink control information used for scheduling an uplink transmission comprises information of the DAI, implemented is the transmission of the DAI as required, thus increasing the reliability of a downlink transmission while ensuring the reliability of a downlink transmission feedback.
