Abstract:

Provided in embodiments of the present application are a communication method, user equipment, base station, control plane network element, and communication system. The communication method comprises: user equipment (UE) performs a switch from a first base station to a second station, wherein the UE performs communication at the first base station via a first packet data unit (PDU) connection of a first forwarding plane network element; and during the switch, the UE sends to the second base station bearer-less switch instruction information used to instruct the second base station not to establish a connection to the first forwarding plane network element. The technical solution of the present application prevents a connection between the second base station and the first forwarding plane network element from being established, thus reducing the delay of a service flow switch.
