Abstract:
A communication method according to the present invention comprises: a step in which user equipment that is in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state and has participated in a multicast session receives, from a network node, a paging message notifying the startup of the multicast session; and a step in which the user equipment determines whether to transition from the RRC inactive state to an RRC connected state in response to reception of the paging message. The paging message includes: session information that pertains to the multicast session; and identification information that is associated with the session information and that is used to identify, from among a plurality of pieces of user equipment that have participated in the multicast session, one or more pieces of user equipment to be transitioned to the RRC connected state. The determination step includes a step for determining whether to transition to the RRC connected state on the basis of the session information and the identification information.
