Provided is a base station that can avoid interferences, thereby preventing the reception quality from being degraded. The present base station (10) uses the same predetermined radio resources as another base station. The present base station (10) comprises: an antenna unit (101) that forms a coverage area different from a coverage area formed by the other base station and that functions as a plurality of reception antennas; a number-of-allocated-streams determination unit (114); a number-of-interference-signals calculation unit (115); and a notification signal transmission unit (116). The number-of-allocated-streams determination unit (114) determines, in the predetermined radio resources, a number of streams allocated in the present base station. On the basis of both a number of reception antennas of the present base station and the number of streams allocated in the present base station, the number-of-interference-signals calculation unit (115) calculates, in the predetermined radio resources, a number of interference signals that can be removed by the present base station. The notification signal transmission unit (116) transmits, to the other base station, a notification of the number of interference signals that can be removed in the predetermined radio resources.
