A communication system has terminal apparatuses and a call connection server. Each terminal apparatus comprises a personal computer (70u) incorporating software for executing a call connection processing, and a dedicated telephone terminal (60u) connected to the personal computer (70u) for executing a digital encoding of audio band signals and the like. The call connection server comprises an SIP server (11) for executing a call connection to the personal computer (70u) and the like; a database server (12) for associating and storing connection destination addresses (IP addresses) with the information and telephone numbers related to the users of the IP telephone service; and a call agent (13) for executing, based on the information stored in the database server (12), a call connection related to the IP telephone service.
