Abstract:

A communication system equipped with a plurality of switches divided into a plurality of domains, a plurality of first control devices for controlling the switches included in the corresponding domains, and a second control device for controlling the plurality of first control devices, wherein: a first control device which corresponds to one of the plurality of domains determines processing content for a first communication packet between terminals stored in different switches included in the one domain, on the basis of a first database stored by the first control device; and the second control device determines processing content for a second communication packet between terminals stored in switches in different domains among the plurality of domains, on the basis of a second database stored by the second control device. Thus, the present invention avoids limitations to network scale due to switch and controller performance, and makes it possible to achieve a large-scale concentrated control-type virtual network.
