Abstract:
In order to make it possible to reduce power consumption and lower frequency in the use of a communication device by means of pinging, which ensures the reliability of a path that includes a subsystem, before operation, a communication system has a slave station 14, a relay station 13, and a base station 12 for communicating with the slave station 14 via a path that includes the relay station 13, the base station 12 having a path definition unit 123 for defining relay stations 13 included in main system and subsystem paths as paths, and a subsystem definition table 1244 for defining one of the relay stations 13 included in the main system and subsystem paths as a relay station to which to switch when an abnormality occurs in a main system relay station.
