Abstract:
Provided is a path control means in an environment where a network in which a packet is transferred along a path designated by a host apparatus is connected to a network in which a path control is performed in an autonomous control manner. A communication system comprises: a first switch that uses a predetermined routing protocol to perform an information exchange with an adjacent switch, thereby generating a transfer table, and transfers a packet with reference to the transfer table; a second switch that transfers the packet in accordance with an instruction from a predetermined controller; the controller that gives the instruction to the second switch; and an integrated controller that instructs the controller to instruct the second switch to transfer the packet along a designated path, also instructs the controller to generate a virtual network constituted by a switch obtained by virtualizing the first switch, and causes an information exchange using the predetermined routing protocol to be done between the first switch and the second switch mapped to the virtual network, thereby causing a packet transfer to be done along a path calculated in advance.
