Abstract:
In order to effectively utilize a resource, this communication system is characterized by including a first means for referring to a network topology and calculating a currently used path and a spare path, a second means for making settings pertaining to the currently used path on a communication node in the route of the currently used path, and a third means for making settings pertaining to the spare path on a communication node in the route of the spare path on a prescribed cycle, the third means transmitting/receiving a signal using the spare path on the prescribed cycle and executing confirmation of electrical continuity of the spare path.
