Abstract:
An air conditioning system (100) connects indoor units (140) to an outdoor unit (110) that switches between a first communication protocol and a second communication protocol to perform communication, wherein: the outdoor unit (110) communicates with all of the indoor units (140) with one communication protocol selected from the first communication protocol and the second communication protocol when the outdoor unit (110) is activated; and when the outdoor unit (110) receives a normal response from all of the indoor units (140), the outdoor unit (110) decides the one communication protocol as the communication protocol to be used for communication with all of the indoor units (140), and when the outdoor unit (100) does not receive a normal response from at least one of the indoor units (140), the outdoor unit switches to a communication protocol different from the one communication protocol.
