Abstract:
In a communication system (100), an Ethernet network (200) and an MPLS-TP network (300) are connected. A communication device (210) transmits an OAM frame which includes frame type information which represents that the type of the frame is an OAM frame, MPLS communication device identification information for identifying a communication device which configures the MPLS-TP network, and process description information which represents a description of a process. When the type of frame from the Ethernet network (200) is an OAM frame, an edge device (310) appends to the frame header information which includes an OAM identifier which includes the MPLS communication device identification information which is included in the frame. A communication device (320) executes an OAM process on the basis of the description of the process which the process description information represents, when the communication device which is identified by the MPLS communication device identification information which is included in the OAM identifier of the header information of the received frame is the present device.
