Title:
COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, MOBILE DEVICE, AND SWITCHING CONTROL METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/102106
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are a communication system, a mobile device, and a switching control method which effectively limit connection delays caused while a cell search is carried out when switching is performed to a wireless communication system having different wireless access technology (RAT), without the capacity of the mobile device being acquired by the core network. A UE (300) can connect to a first wireless communication system and a second wireless communication system that is different to the first wireless communication system and uses a plurality of frequency bands. When the UE (300) switches from the first wireless communication system to the second wireless communication system, receives an RRC CONNECTION REJECT indicating a plurality of switching destination frequencies included in the frequency bands used by the second wireless communication system, and unavailable frequencies at which the UE (300) cannot perform transmission or reception are included in the plurality of switching destination frequencies, the UE (300) searches only cells having a switching destination frequency from the plurality of switching destination frequencies excluding the unavailable frequencies.
