Abstract:
Provided is a communication system with which highly reliable communication with low loss is implemented even in an inferior noise environment. The communication system (1) comprises a transmission unit (2), a receiving unit (3), and a signal transfer unit (4) for insulation communication between the transmission unit (2) and the receiving unit (3). The transmission unit (2) further comprises: a contiguous pulse generation unit (5) which generates a pulse signal string according to an input signal; an edge pulse generation unit (7) which generates an edge pulse at a rising edge and a falling edge of the input signal; an edge pulse drive unit (6) which transmits a pulse signal string at a first voltage level; and an edge pulse drive unit (8) which transmits an edge pulse at a second voltage level which is higher than the first voltage level. The receiving unit (3) further comprises: a contiguous pulse determination unit (9) which senses the pulse signal string; an edge pulse determination unit (10) which senses the edge pulse; and a decoded signal generation unit (11) which compares a decoded signal based on the output of the contiguous pulse determination unit (9) and a decoded signal based on the output of the edge pulse determination unit (10) and decodes the input signal.
