Abstract:
A welding system includes a welding power supply device, and a wire feeding device for communicating with the welding power supply device. The welding power supply device and the wire feeding device are connected to each other through power transmission lines. The welding power supply device includes a switch unit for switching a voltage applied to the wire feeding device through the power transmission lines. The welding power supply device further includes a control unit for controlling the switch unit on the basis of predetermined information to transmit the information. The wire feeding device includes: an identification unit for identifying a voltage applied from the welding power supply device; and a control unit for decoding the information on the basis of the result of identification by the identification unit. The control unit of the welding power supply device transmits, immediately before transmitting the information, a transmission start signal indicating the start of transmission.
