Abstract:
A digital cross-connect system (201) comprises a TDM system (202) and a media gateway system (203). The TDM system connects access TDM connections (211-214) to network TDM connections (215-218). The media gateway system is coupled some of the network TDM connections. The media gateway system receives signaling (222) and interworks between these TDM connections and a packet connection (219) in response to the signaling.
