Abstract:
Provided is a communication system capable of easily realizing the function of a terminal while reducing the burden on a caregiver or the like. When a portable terminal TA transmits a login request signal to a management server SV, the management server SV responds to the portable terminal TA by transmitting a response signal thereto that contains permission information enabling an external line call over a PBX, or non-permission information disabling the external line call. The portable terminal TA runs a home application upon receiving the response signal, and: when the response signal contains permission information, enables a jump operation for running a call application on a TA input unit 35 while running the home application; when the call application is run as a result of a user operating the TA input unit 35 and performing the jump operation, makes it possible to connect to an external public line through the PBX, and consequently, makes it possible to place an external line call via a voice call device; and when the response signal contains non-permission information, disables the jump operation.
