Abstract:
Disclosed is a communication terminal, whereby timing of receiving notification information is shortened, while suppressing power consumption of a battery of the communication terminal. Also disclosed is a communication control method.
The communication terminal (101) is provided with: an internal power supply (105); a wireless communication unit (103); a connecting unit (107) which is connected to an external apparatus; and a control unit (109), which controls the wireless communication unit (103) so as to receive the notification information in a predetermined cycle, by driving the wireless communication unit (103) using power supplied from the internal power supply (105), and which controls the wireless communication unit (103) so as to receive the notification information in a cycle shorter than the predetermined cycle, by driving the wireless communication unit (103) using power supplied via the connecting unit (107) when the power is supplied via the connecting unit (107).
