Abstract:
Provided are a communication terminal and a control method with which it is possible to provide an excellent state of reception sensitivity. Provided is a communication terminal that communicates with a base station, the communication terminal comprising: an antenna capable of transmitting/receiving a plurality of beams having directivity in mutually different directions; a communication unit for communicating, using the antenna, with the base station by using the plurality of beams, and detecting the reception level of each of the plurality of beams; and a control unit for prompting that a change in the bearing of the communication terminal on the basis of directivity data that indicates the reception level of each of the plurality of beams in each of a plurality of directions and the detected reception levels.
