Abstract:
Disclosed is a communication terminal, by which the communication distance between a reader/writer and a wireless IC tag can be increased with a simple configuration. Also disclosed is an information processing system.
The information processing system is provided with the reader/writer (50A), the communication terminal (60A), and the wireless IC tag (1A). The communication terminal (60A) is provided with an electric field type first antenna section (61), a magnetic field type second antenna section (62), and a connecting section (63) which electrically connects together the antenna sections (61, 62), and the communication terminal is housed in a pen-type case (64). The first antenna section (61) is coupled to the antenna (53) of the reader/writer (50A) by means of an electric field, and the second antenna section (62) is coupled to the wireless IC tag (1A) by means of a magnetic field. Communication is made possible between the reader/writer (50A) and the wireless IC tag (1A) by having the second antenna section (62) in proximity to the wireless IC tag (1A).
