Provided are: a communication terminal which enables a shortening of the time required for the communication terminal to acquire, from a server device, the guidance information required to guide the movement of a moving body, when performing a centre route search; a server device; a movement guidance system; and a computer program. Specifically, this communication terminal 5 is provided with an update area table 49 which identifies, for each block unit of map information, blocks corresponding to areas to be updated which are pieces of old-version map information in terminal-side map information 48 of the communication terminal 5 relative to device-side map information 25 of the server device 3, and blocks which do not correspond to the areas to be updated. Movement guidance information 26 for guiding the movement of a moving body is requested of the server device 3 on the basis of the update area table 49.
