Abstract:
[Purpose] To achieve a real time estimation in estimating the type and state of an application from time sequence data of communication traffic. [Solution] A communication traffic analysis device according to the present invention is provided with: a state transition model generation unit that creates a probabilistic state transition model from time sequence data of communication traffic at predetermined timings; a state transition model update unit that updates the state transition model when a difference equal to or greater than a predetermined one is existent between the state transition models created by the state transition model creation unit at two timings and further when the communication state of a network satisfies a predetermined condition; and an application type and state estimation unit that estimates the type and state of an application by use of the updated state transition model.
