Abstract:
Provided is a communications device, a communications method, and a communications program that can communicate data such that bandwidth is efficiently measured according to the data being sent, without applying unnecessary load to the communications device or network. The communications device obtains the transmission data type by browsing information about the transmission data, which is data to be sent in packets (S33); restricts the search range, which is the target range for bandwidth measurement by a plurality of packets, in accordance with the transmission data type obtained (S34 to S41); sets the search range in accordance with the restrictions; and generates a plurality of packets to measure the bandwidth within the set search range and sends said packets to a reception device.
