Abstract:
Disclosed is a compact container equipped with a built-in hinge unit, said compact container being easy to assemble and reducing the manufacturing cost of parts. The disclosed compact container (1) has a lid body (20) which is connected in an openable and closable manner to the rear end of the flat box-like container body (10) through a hinge which uses one or more hinge units (30). The compact container (1) is provided with a frame body (41) which comprises a plate-like member having a flat surface shape extending along the shape of the peripheral edge of the upper opening of the container body. A hinge containing section (11) for containing a case section so that shaft sections of the hinge unit protrude is formed at the rear end of the container body. Receiving holes (21a) into which the shaft sections of the hinge unit are inserted are formed at the rear end of the lid body. The case section (31) of the hinge unit is contained in the hinge containing section. The frame body is mounted to the container body so as to cover and hide the hinge containing section. The shaft sections of the hinge unit are inserted in the receiving holes with the case section of the hinge unit affixed to the container body, and the container body and the lid body are connected to each other so as to be able to be opened and closed relative to each other.
