Abstract:

An upper turning body (3) comprises: a turning frame (5); a counterweight (6); an engine (7); a support member (9) provided on the turning frame (5) so as to straddle the engine (7); a partition member (11) mounted on the turning frame (5) and on a support base (9E) of the support member (9); a pedestal member (14) provided between the turning frame (5) and the partition member (11); a foot rest member (16) provided on the turning frame (5) and positioned to the front of the pedestal member (14); and a cab (21) that covers the top of the partition member (11), the pedestal member (14), and the foot rest member (16). The lower side of the rear end of the cab (21) is provided with a rear mounted member (28) mounted to the support base (9E) of the support member (9). The rear mounted member (28) is provided with a housing box (37) positioned to the rear of a seat (17) in the cab (21).
