Abstract:
The present invention relates to a compact optical device for augmented reality, and provides a compact optical device for augmented reality, the optical device comprising: an optical means which transmits, towards the pupils of the eyes of a user, at least a portion of image light emitted from an actual object, reflects, from an inner surface thereof, image light corresponding to an image for augmented reality, emitted from an image emission unit, and transfers same to a first reflection unit; the first reflection unit which is disposed inside the optical means, reflects the image light corresponding to an image for augmented reality, reflected and transferred from the inner surface of the optical means, and transfers same to second reflection units; and the second reflection units which are disposed inside the optical means and provide an image for augmented reality to the user by transferring the image light corresponding to an image for augmented reality, transferred from the first reflection unit, by reflecting same toward the pupils of the eyes of the user, wherein the second reflection units have a size of at most 8 mm.
