Title:
COMPARATOR, AD CONVERTER, SOLID STATE IMAGING DEVICE, ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, AND COMPARATOR CONTROL METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/037901
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a comparator, an AD converter, a solid-state imaging device, an electronic apparatus, and a comparator control method with which it is possible to reduce the power consumption while improving the determination speed of the comparator. A comparison circuit provided with: a differential input circuit operating with a first power supply voltage, for outputting a signal when the voltage of an input signal is higher than the voltage of a reference signal; a positive feedback circuit operating with a second power supply voltage lower than the first power supply voltage, for accelerating a transition speed, on the basis of an output signal from the differential input circuit, when a comparison result signal indicating the result of comparison of the voltages of the input signal and reference signal is inverted; and a voltage conversion circuit for converting the output signal of the differential input circuit to a signal that corresponds to the second power supply voltage. The comparison circuit is configured so that the source voltage of the differential input circuit is lower than 0 V. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, a ADC or the like that is arranged for each pixel of a solid-state imaging device.
