Abstract:
The invention relates to an electronic system (10) and method for compensating for differences in the intensity ofo the radiation applied to an article (12) as a result of differences in the speed of the article past an accelerator (22) at different positions in the article (12). The invention further provides compensation for differences in the article characteristics, such as thickness, in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction in which radiation is applied to the article (12) and is which the article (12) is conveyed past the radiation from the beam.
