A complex element according to embodiments of the present invention comprises: a laminate; a capacitor part provided in the laminate; a pair of discharge electrodes arranged at least partially opposite to each other such that a discharge region is provided therebetween; an overvoltage protection part formed in the laminate while being spaced apart from the capacitor part, and including an air gap which has a larger area than the discharge region so as to receive the discharge region therein; and first and second outer electrodes formed opposite to each other at both outer sides of the laminate, respectively and connected to the capacitor part and the overvoltage protection part. Accordingly, in the complex element according to embodiments of the present invention, the discharge region provided between the discharge electrodes is formed such that the air gap having a larger area than the discharge region is provided between the discharge electrodes and the discharge region is received in the air gap. Therefore, the discharge region can be formed to be spaced apart from a sheet without coming in contact with the sheet.
