Disclosed is a complex needle with a reduced total length. The complex needle (100) is provided with a needle body (1), a slider (2), and a needle jack (3). The needle body (1) is provided with a needle jack engaging unit (12) which is formed to be thin locally, and an arm sliding surface (13) having width in the thickness direction of the needle body (1) parallel with the needle jack engaging unit (12). The slider (2) is provided with a slider plate (21) disposed on a slider base (20), and a slider arm (23) which is thin and slides on the arm sliding surface (13) of the needle body (1). The needle jack (3) is provided with an engagement tip (32) which, formed in an end region (3R) formed as thick as or less thick than the needle jack engaging unit (12), engages with the needle jack engaging unit (12).
