Abstract:
When assembling a crank shaft (S), which is clasped by a hand (10), on the bearing sections (Q) of a cylinder block (B) by the descending movement of the hand (10), oiling nozzles (16) are provided on the hand (10) at positions above each of the main journal sections (J) of the clasped crank shaft (S). By suddenly decelerating the descent speed of the hand (10) during the end phase of the descending motion thereof, lubricating oil held in the oiling nozzles (16) is dropped on the respective main journal sections (J) of the crank shaft (S) by means of inertial force resulting from the sudden deceleration of the hand (10). As a result, it is possible to oil each main journal section (J) of the crank shaft instantaneously and accurately within the action cycle for assembling the crank shaft (S) on the cylinder block (B).
