Abstract:
The invention relates to a component for contacting hydrogen, comprising at least one surface which is provided for coming into contact with a hydrogen atmosphere, at least said surface consisting of steel, and the invention being characterised in that the steel has a fine structure comprising austenite and ferrite, an austenitic portion of the structure amounting to a minimum of 1 wt. % and a maximum of 50 wt. %, and a ferritic portion of the structure amounting to a minimum of 50 wt. % and a maximum of 99 wt. %.
