Abstract:
A platform scale in which component force damping devices are mounted to enable the scale to function with higher preciseness.
A platform scale for weighing an object to be weighed, the platform scale being configured to perform the weighing with support bodies for supporting the object supported by load detection sections (301, 302). At least four component-force-damping devices (321-424) are arranged between the support bodies and the load detection sections (301, 302), and the component-force-damping devices (321-424) are each provided with an array of needle bearings, said array of needle bearings being arranged side by side, and also with two plates which face each other across the array of needle bearings, said two plates being capable of moving relative to each other in the direction in which the needle bearings (63) are arranged. The four component-force-damping devices (321-424) are in contact with the support bodies at four positions which form a rectangle. Two component-force-damping devices located on the same side of the rectangle move relative to each other in different directions, and two component-force-damping devices located on a diagonal line of the rectangle move relative to each other in the same direction. Even if the support bodies deflects in any direction, the horizontal component force caused by the deflection can be released by the component-force-damping devices.
