Abstract:
A component mounter is provided with: a mounting head that allows for a plurality of nozzle holders, on which suction nozzles can be attached and detached, to revolve in the circumferential direction, and that allows for the suction nozzles to rotate in tandem with one another; and two z-axis drive devices that are provided in two locations on the path of revolution of the plurality of suction nozzles and that raise and lower suction nozzles situated in those two locations. When a component supplied by a component supplying device can be suctioned at any of a plurality of different nozzle angles by a suction nozzle, the component mounter moves a suction nozzle to a revolving angle at which the suction nozzle can be raised and lowered, lowers the suction nozzle, and mounts the component at the nozzle angle requiring the least amount of movement from among the plurality of nozzle angles at which the component can be suctioned. The component mounter can thus improve productivity in the manufacture of mounting substrates by shortening the amount of time required to suction components.
