Abstract:
This component mounter comprises: a base; a pallet that is detachably provided to the base and holds a tape feeder having a drive mechanism which is engaged with a carrier tape storing thereon a plurality of components so as to feed the carrier tape in a prescribed feeding direction; a detection unit that detects execution of work for removing the pallet from the base; and a control unit that controls, upon detection by the detection unit of the execution of work for removing the pallet, the drive mechanism of the tape feeder, and rewinds the carrier tape in a direction reverse to the feeding direction.
