Abstract:
The invention is capable of selectively executing a tolerance checking mode (S240 to S290) wherein the position of a lead is identified along with the determination of whether or not the size of a lead region is within a tolerance range, and a tolerance check-free mode (S240, S300 to S330) wherein the position of the lead is identified without determining whether or not the size is within the tolerance range. Therefore, the lead position can be identified suitably even if setting the tolerance range is difficult due to the forward end of the lead being coated with a viscous fluid, such as solder.
