Abstract:
Provided are a component mounting device and a tray changing method of a tray feeder capable of improving productivity by shortening the device stop time for changing a tray in a component mounting device for mounting on a substrate components that are fed by a tray feeder. In a pallet moving operation that moves a pallet to a pallet storage unit (23) from a pallet placement unit (27) for placing a pallet (24) holding a tray (6) with shortage of components to change the tray (6) with a new tray (6), a storage address for restoring the pallet is identified on the basis of a reading result of a pallet identification mark by a pallet information read sensor (32) and preliminarily stored pallet storage data. As such, even when shortage of components occurs to two or more pallets (24) at the same time, the pallet (24) can be restored to the pallet storage unit (23) corresponding to the identified storage address for restoring the pallet.
