Abstract:
Disclosed is a component mounting machine that is provided with a Z axis drive mechanism (37) that moves, in the vertical direction, a suction nozzle (13) held by a mounting head (11). The component mounting machine is provided with: a control device (55) that controls operations of mounting a component on a circuit board by sucking the component by means of the suction nozzle, said component being supplied from a component supplying device (56); and a Z axis control unit (61) that drives, in accordance with instructions given from the control device, a Z axis motor (39) to be a drive source for the Z axis drive mechanism. The Z axis control unit is provided with a monitoring unit (63) that monitors the operation states of the control device, and the Z axis control unit stops the Z axis motor when normal operations of the control device are not detected by the monitoring unit.
