Abstract:
A component-securing device, wherein it is possible to withdraw a clip (14) from an engaging pin (13), while in a state where a base member (11) is secured to a component (12) by the engagement of an engaging part (14j) of the clip (14) to an engageable part (13c) of the engaging pin (13), by pressing a pair of pressing parts (14e) in the outer-circumferential section of the clip (14) in a direction (see arrow mark (A)) so as to become closer to one another, causing a pair of engaging-pin insertion parts (14c) to move away from one another as a result of the outer-circumferential sections (14a) thereof changing shape, and the engagement between the engaging part (14j) of the clip (14) and the engageable part (13c) of the engaging pin (13) to be released. It is possible to release the engagement with the engaging pin (13) merely by changing the shape of the outer-circumferential sections (14a) of the clip (14) in an inward direction; hence, it is possible not only to make the clip (14) more compact by decreasing the dimensions thereof in the axial (L) direction, but also to reduce the production costs of the clip (14) by simplifying the molding die thereof, as a result of the shape of the clip (14) itself being simpler.
