According to the present invention, a component image (21), which is obtained by capturing an image of a component that is a target for creating component shape data for image processing, is acquired and displayed on a screen of a display device (15), and a model pattern (31), which corresponds to a part-to-be-measured of the component image, is displayed to overlap the component image. At least one fine adjustment icon (32a-32d), which is for finely adjusting, on the screen of the display device, the size and/or position of the model pattern overlapping the component image, is displayed on the screen of the display device in a prescribed positional relationship with the model pattern. When an operator performs a fine adjustment operation in which the model pattern is fitted into the part-to-be-measured of the component image on the screen of the display device, the size and/or position of the model pattern is finely adjusted by a prescribed amount every time a mouse pointer is placed on the fine adjustment icon and a click operation is performed once, and then information on the size and/or position of the finely adjusted model pattern is acquired in response to the number of the click operations until completion of the fine adjustment operation, thereby creating the component shape data for image processing.
