Abstract:
A device (10) determines storage positions for a plurality of types of components to be assembled to workpieces corresponding to a plurality of types of products to be produced in a predetermined period according to a production plan, in an accommodation unit (20) that has a plurality of rows of accommodation spaces facing a passage. The device (10) comprises: a memory (12) that stores the correspondence relationship between the types of the workpieces corresponding to the products to be produced in the predetermined period and the types of components to be assembled for each of the types of the workpieces; a group determination unit (14) that determines storage positions for the plurality of types of components in the accommodation unit (20) on the basis of the correspondence relationship; a layout determination unit (15) and an optimum position determination unit (16) (CPU (11)); and an output unit (17) (CPU (11)) that outputs the storage positions. The storage positions for the plurality of types of components in the accommodation unit (20) are determined so that the plurality of types of components corresponding to the workpieces are distributed and arranged in all of the plurality of rows of the accommodation unit (20).
